Salary: R728,286 – R896,940 per annum (Level D1)
Contract Type: Fixed-term aligned with SETA licence term
Location: Head Office
Purpose:
Lead merSETA’s research and innovation initiatives to support sector and national skills development needs. Oversee partnerships, governance, and project performance in alignment with strategic objectives.
Requirements:
- NQF 7 qualification in Education, Training, Administration, Business Management, Social Sciences, Project Management, or related field
- 5 years’ experience in project management within research, innovation, or SETA-linked skills development projects
- 5 years’ experience in management or supervisory role
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Must have own reliable vehicle
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage research and innovation projects with strong governance and compliance
- Conceptualize new projects aligned to national and industry skills needs
- Strengthen stakeholder engagement and relationship management
- Lead budgeting, performance monitoring, and reporting
- Maintain project documentation and develop a knowledge-sharing E-library
- Provide leadership to the unit and drive performance improvements
