Post Title: Assessment and Workplace Practitioner
Contract Type: Fixed Term (Until 31 March 2030)

Workplace: SASSETA Head Office, Waterfall Corporate Campus, Midrand
Job Purpose:
The role involves managing the assessment design, moderation, validation, and implementation of external integrated final assessments (EISA), while ensuring compliance with SASSETA and QCTO standards. The successful candidate will oversee assessment centres and uphold quality assurance practices across training and development functions.
Requirements:
- Matric/Grade 12
- NQF Level 6 qualification in Training and Development, Education Management, HRM, OD ETD, or similar
- Minimum 3 yearsโ experience in learning and development or skills development
- At least 2 yearsโ experience in assessment assurance is advantageous
- Knowledge of Skills Development Act and occupational qualifications
- Intermediate computer literacy
- Valid driverโs license
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment & Quality Assurance
- Manage development, moderation, and validation of assessment tools
- Coordinate EISA planning and implementation
- Monitor assessor/moderator appointments and moderation practices
- Maintain assessment and learner achievement databases
- Ensure compliance with QCTO and SASSETA standards
Stakeholder Engagement
- Coordinate site visits, workshops, and training with providers and SMEs
- Develop reports for QCTO and internal stakeholders
- Ensure assessment centres meet accreditation standards
System Administration & Reporting
- Develop systems for tracking enrolment and assessment outcomes
- Compile reports, maintain records, and manage appeals
- Coordinate evaluation of learning programme gaps
Planning & Scheduling
- Plan and schedule EISA sessions and monitor compliance
- Coordinate tool security and logistics during assessments
- Submit learner results and certification recommendations to QCTO
Skills and Attributes:

- Good conflict resolution and communication skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
- Project management and stakeholder engagement experience
