Nyamufarira runs personal best in 100m dash

David Nyamufarira

Zimbabwean sprinter David Nyamufarira shaved one millisecond off his personal best when he ran and won the 100m in a Texas meet.

The New Mexico JC freshman ran 10.01 seconds, beating the 10.02 seconds he set at Jo Meaker Classic two weeks ago.

The 20-year-old is a man from whom much is expected.

Earlier this year, he set a new national record of 6.57 seconds in the 60m dash.

At the rate of his progress, you would not bet against him challenging Ngoni Makusha’s 100m national record in the near future.
