Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has played it very safe with regards to the outcome of the sold-out Soweto Derby clash on Saturday, though he believes they can still pull off an upset.
Amakhosi take on their fiercest nemesis Orlando Pirates at FNB Stadium with both sides on the back of Betway Premiership defeats.
The Glamour Boys lost 2-1 to Marumo Gallants in their last league outing while the Buccaneers suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Sekhukhune United on Wednesday night.
Speaking to Mpho Maboi on SuperSport TV at the Soweto Derby presser on Thursday afternoon, Nabi added that whoever comes out victorious on the day would have done so deservedly.
“If Kaizer Chiefs wins the derby on Saturday it’s not gonna be a surprise,” Nabi said.
“If Orlando Pirates as well wins the derby it’s not gonna be a surprise as well. Those are the two biggest clubs in South Africa.
“Despite our current log standing, we believe that two big clubs are gonna play on Saturday even if we are not in a very good position.

“But we feel that whoever wins on Saturday, it’s because he has deserved it.
“We say that the biggest clubs can get ill, but they never die, but we believe that the biggest club in South Africa probably at this time, we might be a little bit ill, but we believe that we still alive and we can do something.”
