A memorial service is being held today, in Bloemfontein, to honour the dedication and service of the late constables who tragically lost their lives.
The service, which commenced at 12:00, has brought together members of the South African Police Service (SAPS), representatives from the Free State Provincial Government, and members of the community to pay their respects.
The SAPS and the Free State Provincial Government have conveyed their deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the fallen officers.
The memorial is taking place at the Bobbies Park Hall.
The Constables would visit the grounds frequently as part of police activities.
Their childhood pictures have now been displayed on screens around the hall.
