Maswanhise scores to keep Motherwell in the top flight

Zimbabwe international Tawanda Maswanhise came off the bench to score and help his Motherwell side to a 2-1 win over Derby in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.

Antonio Portales gave Dundee United the lead before Tom Sparrow equalised for Motherwell.

Maswanhise then headed in the winner after coming on as a second-half substitute.

The win means Motherwell survive relegation and will play in the top flight next season.

For Maswanhise, it has been a successful first season in which he has scored six goals and had three assists in 27 appearances.
