The Laugh Africa Comedy Festival, presented by Showmax, is set to make its return this year—taking place once again at the Sandton Convention Centre from 2 to 4 May 2025.

 

 

Renowned for its eclectic lineup of comedic talent from across Africa and beyond, the 2025 edition of the Laugh Africa Comedy Festival will feature a standout mix of beloved favourites and rising stars from the continent.

The Laugh Africa Comedy Festival will take place from Friday, 2 May to Sunday, 4 May 2025, at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg.

Who’s on this year’s Laugh Africa Comedy Festival lineup?

This year’s lineup will be headlined by American actor and comedian Faizon Love.

Other international acts include Griff from the USA, Uganda’s Salvado Ombokolo, and Kenya’s Eric Lu Savali.

The lineup includes a powerhouse crew of local favourites, including Celeste Ntuli, Trevor Gumbi, Eugene Khoza, Nina Hastie, Felix Hlophe, Angel Campey, Allan Committie, Rob Van Vuuren, Jam Jam the Comedian, Kagiso ‘KG’ Mokgadi, Mark Banks, Nonto R, and Robbie Collins—promising three days of back-to-back laughter and standout performances.

Day 2: Saturday, 3 May 2025

Day 3, Sunday, 4 May 2025

  • 18:00 – MC: Eric Lu Savali (Kenya). Featuring: Ntosh Madlingozi, Kagiso ‘KG’ Mokgadi, Mark Banks

  • 20:30The Laugh Africa Gala: MC: Alan Committie. Featuring international superstars Faizon Love, Nonto R, and Trevor Gumbi.

Each evening’s festivities are scheduled as follows:​

  • Doors Open: 18:00
  • Performances Begin: 18:30
  • Event Concludes: Approximately 22:30​
