Body of missing Tshepisong toddler found floating in dam

The body of three-year-old Mojalefa Savhuli was found floating inside a dam near Harmony Gold Mine in Roodepoort on Thursday.
According to Kaya News, the toddler’s body was retrieved by a diver after it was discovered by boys who were making their way to play soccer at a field nearby.
His family has positively identified the body.

This comes after Mojalefa went missing on Freedom Day this past Sunday, 27 April 2025.
Mojalefa’s mother, Murunwa Savhuli posted a missing persons alert on X and said, “My Son went missing this afternoon from his home in Tshepisong, Roodepoort. He is 3 years old and mostly still speaks child-speak. Please help us find him. Any retweet or shares will go a long way. His name is Mojalefa Ndivho Savhuli.”
Murunwa added that she had reported the child missing at Roodepoort Police Station and that the community was actively looking for him.
Mojalefa, who was reportedly living with autism, was last seen at a local playing field on Sunday afternoon. He was wearing green shorts, a yellow jersey and black shoes at the time of his disappearance.
