“People skills” refers to the abilities that help us navigate interactions with others on a daily basis.
Skills such as social charm, empathy, and attentive listening can give anyone an advantage in various social situations.
“Which people or social skills do you wish you had more of, and how do you think this could benefit you?” That was the question posed by Drive 959 with Glen to its listeners.
The team members were open about the people skills they wished they had.
Glen Lewis admitted that he struggles with confrontation.
“I take it as a blessing because I’ve had people in my life—friends or family—who’ve done things that were bitter or hurtful, but I’ve never been one to confront them,” he said. “My blessing is, I always win at the end by just being quiet.” He added, “I cannot confront people.”
Kgomotso Meso, on the other hand, has no problem confronting others.
“I definitely have confronted people. In my confrontation, I always try to maintain respect,” she said. “But I do wish I had the ability to let things go.”
