The South African Social Security Agency is a national agency of the South African government created in April 2005 to administer South Africa's social security system, including by distributing social grants, on behalf of the Department of Social Development.

- Computer literacy is essential

Duties:
- Administer social grants at local level
- Effectively screen grant applications
- Capture applications on the system
- Deliver quality customer care services
- Process other grant-related documentation
- Perform quality control on grant applications
- Ensure compliance with Section 57 of the PFMA (Chapter 6, Part 3)
