The National Metrology Institute of South Africa (NMISA) was established under the Measurement Units ans Measurement Standards Act, No 18 of 2006 (The Measurement Act). Our mission is to provide the South African industry and environmental, health and safety sectors with fit-for-purpose measurement standards and measurements.
National Metrology Institute of South Africa (NMISA) invites graduates to apply for SCM and Logistics Internships at NMISA Offices, South Africa.
Purpose of the Internship
The internship programme aims to equip young graduates with hands-on experience in Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Logistics. Interns will be exposed to clerical, administrative, and secretarial responsibilities to ensure efficient service delivery within NMISA and compliance with supply chain regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- Three-year tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management / Logistics
- Knowledge of PFMA and relevant legislation
- Proficiency in MS Office software
- Strong communication and report writing skills
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking
Key Responsibilities
- Copying, scanning, and uploading tender documents
- Capturing data and maintaining updated files
- Meeting preparation and administrative support
- Performing help desk functions
- Managing supplier documents (e.g. BBBEE, Tax Clearance, SBD forms)
- Coordinating supplier invoice payments
- Verifying delivery of goods
- Filing and document management within SCM
