Internship Overview:
- Position: Internship in the Production Animal Clinic at the Onderstepoort Veterinary Academic Hospital
- Location: Veterinary Science Faculty, University of Pretoria
- Contract: 12-month contract, full-time
- Post Level: Peromnes Post Level 10
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical services in the Production Animal Clinic, under mentorship from specialists.
- Participate in after-hours work, community clinical activities, and emergency medicine on a rotational basis.
- Assist with the clinical training of undergraduate veterinary and veterinary nursing students.
- Participate in clinical rounds and research activities.
- Engage in an intern mentorship program to support your development toward specialization.
Minimum Requirements:
- Educational Qualification: BVSc-degree, BVMCh, or equivalent professional veterinary qualification.
- Registration: Must be registered as a veterinarian with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC).
- Experience: Acknowledged clinical expertise and necessary subject knowledge for the position.
Required Skills:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills (Windows, MS Office, internet).
- Availability for after-hours work.

Remuneration:
- The all-inclusive remuneration package is R334,338 per annum, with additional remuneration for night duties.
