The Timbavati Foundation, in partnership with YES 4 Youth and Wild Impact, is offering a one-year paid internship starting in May 2025! This life-changing opportunity is open to youth passionate about education, tourism, community development, conservation, and media.

Internship Opportunities

Selected participants will be placed in one of the following exciting roles:

Content Creator
Create videos, stories, and document educational activities for various projects.

ECHO Steward
Support environmental education sessions, mentorship, and reporting.

ECD Steward
Assist early childhood development centres and practitioners with childcare, learning, and life skills.

Travel & Tourism Steward
Gain experience in hospitality including front of house, housekeeping, kitchen, food & beverage.

Small Business Assistant
Support local enterprises with admin, communication, sales, and coordination.

General Requirements

To qualify, applicants must:

• Be Black South African citizens, aged 18–27 years by 1 May 2025
• Be female applicants (preferred but not exclusive)
• Have a matric certificate with good spoken and written English
• Be unemployed as of 1 May 2025
• Not have participated in the YES4Youth program before
• Be a resident within 50km of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve in the Greater Kruger area
