The Chemical Industries Education & Training Authority (CHIETA) is a statutory body established by the Skills Development Act (1998). The Chemical SETA was established to facilitate skills development in the chemical industries sector and ensure that skills needs are identified and addressed through a number of initiatives by the SETA and the sector.

CHIETA ETQA invites South African unemployed graduates to apply for 12 months Internship Programme 2025.

Internship Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Administrative Support:
    • Assist with various administrative tasks related to ETQA (Education, Training, Quality Assurance) activities and projects.
  2. Coordination of Activities:
    • Provide logistical and administrative support for ETQA meetings and events.
  3. Data and Document Management:
    • Help manage digital files, content, and knowledge resources. Implement changes to improve CHIETA’s efficiency.
    • Assist in data collection, verification, and compilation of documents for projects.
  4. Project Support:
    • Support existing and potential projects within the business unit.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Education:
    • A Degree in Public Administration or a National Diploma in Business Management with a minimum aggregate of 65%.
  • Previous Experience:
    • No previous internship experience required.
  • Skills:
    • Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of MS Office and digital tools.
    • Teamwork: Ability to work well with others and collaborate effectively.
    • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle tasks proactively.
    • Organisation and Planning: Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
    • Innovative and Creative: Ability to suggest improvements and implement changes.
