Eskom is offering Artisan Training Programme opportunities within various Electrical disciplines in the Maintenance and Operations department. Successful candidates will undergo a 3-year Training Programme, receiving both institutionalised and on-the-job training, with the opportunity to attain a Trade Test Certificate upon completion.

Minimum Requirements:

Educational Qualifications (Any of the following):

• Grade 12 with Maths (50%), Physical Science (50%), and English (40%)
• N3 Engineering with Maths (50%), Physical Science (50%), and English (40%)
• NCV Level 4 with Physical Science (50%), Maths (50%), and English (40%)

Skills and Competencies Required:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A self-disciplined and conscientious approach to work
• High levels of drive and motivation
• Emotional resilience and ability to handle challenges
• Safety-conscious mindset
• Responsible and committed attitude
• Basic computer literacy

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in theoretical and practical training as part of the apprenticeship.
• Gain hands-on experience in Electrical Maintenance and Operations.
• Follow Eskom’s safety and quality standards during the training period.
• Successfully complete all learning modules to qualify for the Trade Test Certificate.
